Today I will be starting a 10-part series on short sales. Almost all of our business comes from these types of sales, and we always get a lot of different questions about them. There are a few things to consider when thinking about if a short sale is right for you.

  1. Can you afford your mortgage payment? 
  2. Is your property under water? If it is, how far under water is it? 
If your property is significantly under water is it that wise for you to spend the next 5-10 holding onto it? It may be better to just cut it loose and start fresh with a different property.
